Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
