No less than 64 individuals lost their lives in a law enforcement action cracking down on the organized crime group in Rio de Janeiro's north zone - the largest and deadliest raid in the region's history.

Four security agents lost their lives during the security mission in the Alemão and Penha districts, local authorities reported. Over 80 suspects were detained.
