Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the LAPD.

A court order placed a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the deaths, public figures offered divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive claims that were widely condemned by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the detractors recently. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the death was made.
